"Hi Everyone......
 
Paul here. I'm contacting everybody on the database to fill you all in on what I've been up to and what's happening in the near future. A really big thank you for your continuing support. I hope it's been worthwhile as there are quite a few releases coming up.
 
I've been busy in the studio and have 7 finished songs for my next project, and a whole pile of unrecorded songs which are being demo'd as I write this. The songs are for my upcoming solo project and I will keep you all informed of further details as things become more concrete with this over the next few months. Chad has also been down to the studio recently, doing the odd day playing various instruments - even drums!
 
On top of the solo stuff I am working with the guys from Parlophone on a Mansun 'Best Of...' CD which we are aiming to bring out in the spring. I hope to have some of my liner notes in there as well somewhere! We are also working on a DVD, which will form part of a "Special Edition" version of the album. This will include all the videos and some extra stuff too. We're currently sifting thru acres of tapes that we've accumulated over the years.
 
In addition to the above projects, you may already know that I've been working with ex-Skunk Anansie vocalist Skin on her forthcoming album 'Fake Chemical State'. The download only single 'Alone In My Room' (my first post-Mansun material) is a collaboration written and produced by myself and Skin and is available to download at iTunes now. The video for the single can also be viewed online through Skin's website.

Skin will be playing some of the new songs we wrote together on her forthcoming UK tour (dates on the website - sorry London's sold out!).

.:2/11/2005 - Draper/Skin Update:.

As we thought the update on the official site was to confirm Paul's work with Skin on the track Alone In My Room available on download only from November 17th in the UK and November 14th in Italy.

The rest of the Draper/Skin tracks will be released in 2006, but an XFM session on November 8th and a UK tour will give some fans a chance to hear some of those tracks performed by Skin, for more info see Mansun.net and Skinmusic.net.

This message below was posted by the owner of the Skin website, also there will be a posting on Mansun.net very soon, possibly confirming what input Paul had in Skins new album. Also rumour's on the forum (this apparently coming from Paul himself) are that he has currently 7 finished songs, and isn't sure where its going at the moment, will keep you posted.

We will have info and news about the collaboration of (the fabulous!!) Paul Draper and Skin on this site very soon and we will have links etc put up. I don't want to give away things and also I am liaising with Paul to have his ideas and wishes on what we put up here about him. In any case it was a fantastic collaboration between the 2 of them and I am sure you will all love it.
Alone in my room is just the beginning of it!!

Along with the rumour that Parlophone are planning two release's next year (see here) it has also been said that Paul Draper is writing and demoing new material for his proposed solo album.
